For those who prefer their Sundays with good food, flowing drinks and a soundtrack that gets livelier as the afternoon goes on, ZEA is introducing MESTIZOS, a new weekly brunch launching on Sunday, 23 August.
Taking place every Sunday from 3 PM to 7 PM, MESTIZOS brings together ZEA’s Mediterranean roots with Latin American flavours and subtle Middle Eastern influences. The result is a relaxed, social brunch designed to move naturally from long lunches around the table to a more energetic evening of music and entertainment.
The name MESTIZOS, a term associated with the blending of cultures, sets the tone for the experience. Rather than following a single culinary tradition, the brunch draws inspiration from the different cultures that shape Dubai’s dining scene, pairing Mediterranean-style hospitality with the colour and character of Latin cuisine.
A menu made for sharing
Created by Chef Sundeep Taucoory, the menu is built around dishes to share across the table. Brunch begins with ZEA Guacamole, Tuna & Avocado Tartar, Crispy Kale Quinoa Pear Salad and Wagyu Beef Carpaccio.
For mains, guests can tuck into Arroz con Camarones, Peruvian-style Baby Chicken and Truffle & Parmesan Fries, before finishing with ZEA’s signature dessert platter of chocolate ganache, vanilla ice cream, lemon and yuzu sorbet, and seasonal fruits.
Drinks are just as much a part of the afternoon, with five packages available depending on how guests want to spend their Sunday. Prices start at AED 265 for the Bronze soft beverage package, followed by AED 320 for Silver with house beverages and AED 385 for Gold with house beverages and grape.
Those looking to make more of an occasion of it can opt for the AED 450 Platinum package, which adds premium and signature cocktails, while the AED 650 Bubbles package.
Brunch now, after-party later
MESTIZOS is designed to build momentum throughout the afternoon. Resident DJs are joined by live percussion, Latin dancers and interactive entertainment, with music moving through Latin House, Afro House, Oriental House, Arabic remixes and contemporary Latin tracks.
And there is no need to head home when brunch ends. From 7 PM, ZEA moves into Happy Hour and the MESTIZOS after-party, with the celebrations continuing until midnight.
Whether it is a late Sunday lunch with friends, a birthday celebration or simply an excuse to extend the weekend, MESTIZOS offers a new way to spend Sunday in DIFC – starting around the table and ending on a much livelier note.
